Abstract

Vanilla is an attractive alternative commodity that can be cultivated in the Banyuwangi Regency area. As one of the businesses with vanilla commodities, UD. Sekawan Limo applies the 4P mix to explore the export vanilla pod market. The results showed that, despite applying conventional methods, and being independent, the full control exercised by UD. Sekawan Limo is able to generate a profit of IDR 83,000,000 per year with optimal business efficiency as shown by the R/C ratio of 1.75. As one of the new businesses engaged in vanilla commodities, this is a good first step. However, over time, applicable methods for running business operations need to be varied given the large economic value of vanilla which also invites complexity and challenges.
